Organist biography:

​

Abraham Ross, originally from Holden, Maine, performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble player, with special interests in early music and 20th century repertoire. He has appeared in concerts in Boston,and Worcester, MA; Paris; and Buenos Aires. Mr. Ross received his baccalaureate degree at Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and is currently a candidate for the degree of Master of Music in Historical Performance at Oberlin College, where he studies organ with Jonathan Moyer.  He serves as Music Intern at the Church of the Covenant in Cleveland.

Pianist program:

​

 Transcendental Étude Op. 11 No. 10 "Lesghinka"                       Sergei. Lyapounov 

​

Sergei Lyapounov was a Russian composer and pianist.  He studied with a pupil of Franz Liszt, to whom he dedicated his twelve Transcendental Etudes.  This 10th etude is based on a dance from the Lezgian people of the Caucasus, a male solo dance with a sword.

Pianist biography:

​

Megan-Geoffrey Prins, from South Africa, is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the Cleveland Institute of Music where he is a student of Antonio Pompa-Baldi.  He recently completed the Master of Music program at CIM, and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University  of  Stellenbosch in South Africa. Mr. Prins has been heard extensively in South Africa and the USA, and also has performed in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Mozambique.  He has won many prizes including 1st prize at the UNISA National Competition in 2015.
