Western Reserve Theatre Organ Society

 

Mark Thewes: Full-time Organist-Director of Music at Westbrook Park United Methodist Church in his 40th year there in 2017. He holds both a Bachelor's Degree, and Master's Degree of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Akron, and received his Certification in Church Music from Baldwin Wallace University. Immediate past Dean of the Canton, Ohio AGO and is a published composer with Morning Star Publishing Co., CPP Belwin-Warner Bros. Co., Abingdon Press, and Beckenhorst Press.

Since the two have started performing duet concerts in the fall of 2013, they’ve performed at Crossroads United Methodist Church (Canton, OH), Westbrook Park United Methodist Church (Canton), Christ Episcopal Church (Warren, OH),  Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (Pittsburgh, PA), Shiloh United Church of Christ (Dayton, OH), St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Alliance, OH), St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (Canton), Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Methuen, MA., and at the National City Christian Church, Washington, DC (2017) 

 

Chad Pittman: Director of Choral Activities for the Akron School for the Arts at Firestone High school where he oversees a nationally renowned choral program of six choirs. Dean of the Canton (OH) AGO, he is also the Director of Music and Organist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Massillon, Ohio. He received Baldwin Wallace University's outstanding conservatory senior award in 2014.
