Mr. Teissonnière will be recording them for the Steinway & Sons record label in September and the CD will be released in March of 2022.

Schubert's Winterrise

 

Corey Shotwell, tenor, and Gerardo Teissonnière, piano, will perform Schubert's monumental song cycle Winterreise. Corey Shotwell, whose voice has been praised for its "light, sweet beauty," is particularly celebrated for his performance of music from the 17th and 18th centuries. His operatic credits include recent performances with the Haymarket Opera Company in Chicago and the Boston Early Music Festival. In Cleveland, he has been a Young Artist Apprentice with Apollo's Fire, and sings frequently with Quire Cleveland and Opera Circle. Regarded by international critics and audiences alike as an artist of extraordinary musicianship and rare sensibility since his acclaimed solo recital debut at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., pianist Gerardo Teissonnière brings an exciting amalgam of the diverse and important musical traditions he represents, performing in major concert series and venues throughout the world.
